Classes begin in Bethesda, Md on Sat mornings at 10:00am (exact lineup/details below) as soon as we get enough to RSVP each week in advance for each class, which will probably be Feb 4th. Capitol Hill classes will begin at the 'Capitol Hill Arts Workshop' 2.5 blocks South of the Eastern Market Metro as soon as enough RSVP to hold the classes. That could be Jan 27 if enough pre-register at TerryChasteen@yahoo.com for the 1st, 3rd and 4th Fridays of each month. Times are from 7pm-10pm and include (1. Beg/Beg+ Argentine Tango [7pm], 2. Beginner Salsa [7:40pm], 3. Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops [Beginner social Ballroom, Latin & Swing 8:20-9:05pm] and 4. Beginner to intermed C/W two step & line dances [9:05pm-9:50pm] is below. Lambda DanceSport DC trains every Sunday during DanceSport Dupont for both spectators attending the many incredible social events and competitors for Gay Games Cleveland, 2014. Located two 2 blocks West of Dupont Circle (red line Metro) at Embassy Row. Free parking all weekend plus during the week after 6:30pm directly in front of the church and in front of the nearby embassies, including:
1) on the adjacent block of Massachusetts Ave from 22nd St West to Sheridan Circle and several blocks beyond,
2) on 22nd St directly North of Q and Mass Ave to R St,
3) West along R St between 22nd and 23rd at Sheridan Circle,
4) directly on Sheridan Circle, which is one block from the Church of the Pilgrims,
5) non-embassy free parking is also available all weekend directly across the street on 22nd between P and Q which opens up during the week daily right at 6:30pm (so come to class early right after work and your parking space will be waiting for you at 6:30!).

Terry will be teaching both classes, including the figures below until a new associate Sunday teacher is confirmed, at which time we'll return to the earlier format of one hour of separate beginner and intermediate at the same time from 7-8pm. Classes will be followed by the 'Domingo en Dupont Milonga' (con postres y Helado! ...desserts with ice cream!) from 8pm-11pm (now beginning at 8:30 until further notice).

1) 7:00pm review and drill in all beginner level material in Tango and Tango Waltz (cadencia or weight changes, cunita or rock steps to sides or forward and back, 1-8 of basic figure, front and back ochos, molinetes to the right and left.
2) 7:45pm media lunar and easy Boleos, sacadas and ganchos. One class $15, $10 F/T students, $95/10-class dance card, $85/student 10-class dance card, an additional $5 to take the second Sunday class. Dancing and practice during the 'Domingo en Dupont Milonga' is FREE for anyone taking any Sunday class from 3pm-8pm.

Each class of 45 minutes is charged separately and is as reasonably priced as any throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. We take pride in a very high level of experience and expertise of every teacher of 'DanceSport at Dupont Circle'.

$15 Sunday Tango 7pm-8pm or use of 10-class dance card (includes milonga and practice to 11pm on Sundays)
(one 45 minute Tango class 7 to 7:45pm followed by a second intermediate class to 8:30pm by Katya Merezhinsky and Terry Chasteen. Includes teacher-assisted Tango and open dancing to 11pm with music by talented DJ David Liu)

The entrance is down the short flight of stairs into the Fellowship Hall on the hill at the very SE corner of the 'Church of the Pilgrims' facing 22nd and P St. NW. It is to the right of the large Southern-facing entrance on the corner or left of the Eastern-facing entrance on that same corner and goes directly down into the Fellowship Hall. This entrance overlooks the small Park, fountain and Monument at 22nd and P St NW. Follow the balloons to the railing of the entrance way to the stairs.

PLENTY OF FREE 'TANGO AT DUPONT CIRCLE' PARKING ALWAYS AVAILABLE.
We are two 2 blocks West of Dupont Circle (on the red line Metro) next to Embassy Row with free parking during the weekends plus during the week starting immediately at 6:30pm in front of the nearby embassies, including:
1) on the adjacent block of Massachusetts Ave from 22nd St West to Sheridan Circle and several blocks beyond,
2) on 22nd St directly North of Q and Mass Ave to R St,
3) West along R St between 22nd and 23rd at Sheridan Circle,
4) directly on Sheridan Circle, which is one block from the Church of the Pilgrims,
5) non-embassy free parking is also available all weekend directly across from us on 22nd St between P and Q which opens up during the week daily at 6:30pm (so come to class early right after work and your parking space will be waiting for you at 6:30!).

It is to the right of the large Southern-facing entrance on the corner or left of the Eastern-facing entrance on that same corner and goes directly down into the Fellowship Hall. This entrance overlooks the small Park, fountain and Monument at 22nd and P St NW. Follow the balloons to the railing of the entrance way to the stairs.

We are two 2 blocks West of Dupont Circle (on the red line Metro) next to Embassy Row with free parking during the weekends plus during the week starting immediately at 6:30pm in front of the nearby embassies, including:
1) on the adjacent block of Massachusetts Ave from 22nd St West to Sheridan Circle and several blocks beyond,
2) on 22nd St directly North of Q and Mass Ave to R St,
3) West along R St between 22nd and 23rd at Sheridan Circle,
4) directly on Sheridan Circle, which is one block from the Church of the Pilgrims,
5) non-embassy free parking is also available all weekend directly across from us on 22nd St between P and Q which opens up during the week daily at 6:30pm (so come to class early right after work and your parking space will be waiting for you at 6:30!).

You may or may not be aware that the lease for Hollywood Ballroom of Silver Spring may be up in July. Please join us this Friday night as several local teachers and 'MANY' of our students take advantage of as much of the remaining dance time as possible. Some of us are meeting at the Tastee Diner in Bethesda at 5:00 to build up our energy beforehand.
