Chevy Chase Ballroom studio party and YCN dance is on tonight,
Feb 6 for those accessible to Metro underground.


The Saturday evening social dance and YCN Party from 8pm-11pm is on as scheduled for those who are underground Metro accessible. We're 1/2 block South of the Jennifer St exit of the Friendship Hts red line Metro station.


Fee: $12, $8 college students with Full Time ID. If you're not Metro accessible, take a cab to your nearest Metro station or drive there and leave your car. Be sure to dress in layers. walk slowly and carefully to avoid falling.

Music will include ALL of the social dances including International and American style Ballroom and social Latin, all styles of Swing (East Coast, West Coast, Lindy Hop and Jive), Argentine Tango, Salsa and Rueda, Bachata, Merengue, C/W two step and more by many of the traditional artists 'PLUS' you'll be dancing to some great new selections of today's by such artists as Glee, Beyonce, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, Michael Buble', The Black Eyed Peas and more.


We'll have PLENTY of refreshments, including lemonade and our 'infanmous desserts and ice cream' plus PLENTY of dancing.

If you have friends who don't dance, BRING THEM! We'll be holding mini-dance classes to the music that's playing on the near end of the studio for beginners to get them going while the hard core continue dancing in the main Ballroom (We may even teach a short version of the authentic 'Michael Jackson's Thriller' for those who Dare).

Last night we parked in the TJ Max parking garage at Jennifer and Wisc Ave, NW. It was open until 10pm and no one there to charge. I will be going there again today to see if that's a possibility so call my cell phone if you're interested in driving and I'll have the results after 2pm (202-596-4860). Wisc ave is very well cleared and the neighbors' sidewalks between CCB and Jennifer St are also clear.

Dancing on Sunday will also be on as scheduled in both Salsa & Latin (7-9pm in studio A) and Argentine Tango (8-11pm in studio B).

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION UPDATE AT THE CHEVY CHASE BALLROOM:
1) 14 spaces are available at the East end of the Bank Of America parking lot during non-banking hours,
2) 10 or more spaces available directly under the ballroom after 9pm when Paul's Liquor closes,
3) 13 spaces directly across the street at the BB&T Bank, including 2 handicapped spaces (also during non-banking hours),
4) Metro is 3 minutes away at the Jennifer St exit of the Friendship Hts red line,
5) The 30 line Metro bus stops directly across the street into the wee hours to Georgetown and all the way through downtown DC to Capitol Hill.

3:00am). Our teachers are not only highly trained, but are continually training in the new technique
and teaching methods plus some of the most dynamic high level material in all styles of Tango being
promoted by top teachers from around the world. We do not just limit ourselves to traditional,
Old School Argentine Tango, but are always exploring new and different Tango Neaveau
