Learn the basics of several traditional dances, including Ballroom (Waltz or Foxtrot), Latin (Salsa or Rumba-the slowest of the Latin dances, often referred to as "The Dance of Love") and Swing (Jitterbug or East Coast Swing) for your wedding.

Also, bring your "First Dance" music, if you know it and we'll decide what dance is most appropriate. Everyone will learn how to prepare for a magnificant "Honor Dance" performance!!

This monthly workshop is a great opportunity for wedding and holy union or civil union couples to learn the basics of creating an easy and fun-filled "Honor Dance" routine that your guests will remember for years to come. It's a "must" for every "bride & bride" and "groom & groom". As one of the few same-gender couples attending this family event, it's our duty to STAND OUT in the crowd while on the dance floor. As well, this is a great opportunity for parents, family members and friends of the wedding couple to prepare together so they can dance with all of the guests at this important event.

Or...if you're just interestd in quickly learning the basics of several dances for social purposes, whether or not you're planning to attend a wedding, this is the perfect one-stop workshop for you, as well.

COST: $15.00 PER PERSON OR $25.00 PER COUPLE.

Also, ongoing social Wedding dance classes are available
to include Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing and some of the social Latin dances and
will be taught weekly on Saturdays at 12:30pm, Sundays at 2:30pm and Tuesdays at 7:15pm at the Chevy Chase Ballroom and on Mondays at 8:15pm at the YMCA National Capital (17th & R. I. Ave., NW).
