"Red Hot Ballroom" Ballroom, Latin, Disco/Hustle and Swing classes have begun for 5th graders and up on Saturday mornings at 10:30am and at 5:00pm on Wednesday evenings at 12:30pm on Sundays starting on January 8th at the Chevy Chase Ballroom (classes are drop-in, so late enrollment or missing on occasion is not a problem). Those interested in any class may email TerryChasteen@hotmail.com. Pre-registration is required at the first class or online at www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com/kids.htm. Since a different dance will be taught each week, enrollment may take place after the sessions have begun .

PLUS!!

"Red Hot Ballroom" may begin as an after school activity at one of the close-in DC or Md middle schools on Mondays from either 3:30 or 4:30pm to 5:00pm or 6:00pm. Starting date and exact location to-be-announced. Also on Sundays starting on January 8th, 2006 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm (warm-up from 12:30 to 1:00 and classes begin at 1:00pm). AND IN FALLS CHURCH, VA

The Promenade Dancing class will resume once again in Virginia for middle-schoolers in Fairfax County, as well as from other areas once the local kids have had a chance to enroll. It will include 7 sessions between January, 2006 and April of 2006. Two classes of 25 couples each will take place on designated Friday evenings at 7:00pm and 8:30pm and will include many of the Ballroom, Latin, Disco/Hustle, Swing and Country/Western dances in addition to ettiquette and other social skills. Boys will wear sport jackets or suits and the girls will wear skirts and white gloves. This has been a highly successful class for two years and enjoyed tremendously by those attending. For anyone interested in enrolling, it is suggested to do so with a dance partner, though no one will remain with the same partner throughout the series. Partners will change routinely each week, so it's only necessary to have an equal number of boys and girls.

has begun. There will be plenty of review each week, so not to worry. Plus any classes missed
may be made up during any of Terry's numerous Chevy Chase Ballroom beginner drop-in

(A). "Red Hot Ballroom" for middle-schoolers. (enrollment required w/ a 10-class dance card) Red Hot Ballroom includes Ballroom, Latin & Swing classes for 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th graders. Pre-registration required, which includes purchase of a 10-class dance card good for any Red Hot Ballroom or adult classes at the Chevy Chase Ballroom.

(B). Beginner to Intermediate Bachata and Cumbia taught by Maria Del Mar to 11:30am. Drop-In class including Bachata and/or Cumbia by request (A different beginner or intermediate level [or both with 2 teachers] Latin dance may be taught each week)

(C) 11:30am - 12:30pm Intermediate Salsa & Rueda taught by Mein.

2. 11:30am - 12:30pm
(A) Beginner to intermediate Salsa & Rueda (depending on the elvel of those attending) taught by Mein.


(B) Dance-At-Your-Wedding Workshops 11:30am to 12:30pm every Saturday.
Includes the basics for Ballroom, Swing & Social Latin or Hustle dance styles plus how to prepare for a magnificent and fun "Honor Dance" every month. Beginner "Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops" in social Ballroom & Black-tie and Wedding dances taught by Terry Chasteen.

(C) Beginner to Beginner + Latin club dances including beginner (Bronze) International Latin to 12:30pm. Drop-In class including International Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba and Paso Doble by request (A different beginner or intermediate level [or both with 2 teachers] Latin dance may be taught each week)

3. 12 noon - 1:00pm
Beginner through eventually advanced Disco/Hustle taught by Terry Chasteen at part of the "Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshop" by request.


4. 12:30pm - 1:30pm
(A). Beginner to intermediate Latin body and hand & arm styling taught by Maria Del Mar.

B. Beginner to intermediate level class in all of the International and social Latin dances.
(Pre-registration required by enough to people to bring in a second teacher for strictly Latin each week)

B. Beginner and/or intermediate Salsa on 2, New York Style (Mambo). Pre-registration is required of enough people to bring in a Mambo teacher. Email TerryChasteen@hotmail.com if interested either in enrollment or in teaching the class.

4. 5:00pm - 6:15pm
Drop-in Beginner AND Intermediate Salsa Rueda taught by Terry Chasteen (beginner) and Ernesto Reyes (Intermediate) in studio B
(Two teachers at once teaching Beginner and intermediate [5:00pm] and advanced [6:15pm] Salsa Rueda. Followed by Salsa and Rueda dancing and practice at 7:30pm. Discounts available for those attending more than 1 Sunday class. No previous Rueda experienced required, however the 4:00pm Salsa class is highly recommended for those who have never had any Salsa.

4. 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Drop-in Advanced intermediate to full Advanced Salsa Rueda taught by Ernesto Reyes in studio B (level being taught depends on the experience of those attending the 6pm class).

5. 6:00pm - 7:30pm Beginner/intermediate Argentine Tango taught by Arnaud Lucas in studio A

The dancing will include the "BEST" Salsa, Salsa Rueda, Argentine Tango and Latin dance music available anywhere. Also included may be scheduled performances by local Salsa and Salsa Rueda dance troops from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. Anyone who takes Salsa on 1, Salsa Rueda, the social Latin dances, Argentine Tango plus the beginner Ballroom and Swing wedding dances on Sunday afternoon & evening are automatically paid up for the the 7:30pm dance party. The first class is $12.00 [$10.00 when bringing in an email or website notice of the event from any source], the second class is only an additional $6.00, the third $5.00 and the 4th class is $5. [$28.00 total to dance and party ALL DAY!] from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

Two 7-week sessions begin on April 24th at 7:30pm and 8:15pm at the YMCA, National Capital, 17th & R. I. Ave., NW. Ballroom, Latin, Disco/Hustle and Swing classes have begun for 5th graders and up on Saturday mornings at 10:30am, on Sundays at 12:30pm and at 5:00pm on Wednesday evenings after school at the Chevy Chase Ballroom . Since a different dance will be taught each week, enrollment may take place after the sessions have begun .

"Red Hot Ballroom" will begin as an after school activity at one of the close-in DC or Md middle schools on Mondays from either 3:30 or 4:30pm to 5:00pm or 6:00pm. AND IN FALLS CHURCH, VA

The Promenade Dancing class will resume once again in Virginia for middle-schoolers in Fairfax County, as well as from other areas once the local kids have had a chance to enroll. It will include 7 sessions between January 6th and April of 2006. Two classes of a maximum of 25 couples will take place on designated Friday evenings at 7:00pm and 8:30pm and will include many of the Ballroom, Latin, Disco/Hustle, Swing and Country/Western dances in addition to ettiquette and other social skills. Boys will wear sport jackets or suits and the girls will wear skirts and white gloves. This has been a highly successful class for two years and enjoyed tremendously by those attending. For anyone interested in enrolling, it is suggested to do so with a dance partner, though no one will remain with the same partner throughout the series. Partners will change routinely each week, so it's only necessary to have an equal number of boys and girls.

(A) Beginner Drop-in Black-tie and Wedding Social dances, including Social Ballroom, Latin, Swing and/or C/W Two Step if requested taught by Terry Chasteen.
(The dances taught each week are by request of those attending. The basics of more than one dance may be taught in one session).

This class will run consecutively with the monthly "Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshop" on the last Saturday of each month from 12:00 noon to 1:30pm, which not only includes the basics in one each of the social Ballroom, Latin & Swing dances, but also includes my own personal fun and unique means of entering and exiting the dance floor from 12:00 noon to 12:30pm (both of which can also be useful every time you go out dancing).

(B) 1:00pm - 1:45pm International Latin technique and patterns taught by GQ Bowers at the same time as beginnr Ballroom.

(Both of these classes will continue every Saturday either as part of or in addition to the "Dance-at-Your Wedding Workshops" on the last Saturday of the month.)

Ongoing drop-in classes. You need not attend every week if out of town, as there will be plenty of weekly review.

No previous dance experience or partner necessary for either class. We will review the basics each for both new and previous attendees.

A different dance may be taught each week by request. The dance being taught may be decided by those present.

Location: the Chevy Chase Ballroom, 5207 Wisc Ave., NW. Located above Paul's Liquor one block South of the Jennifer Street exit of the Friendship Heights red line Metro.

(Other beginner Ballroom classes are available at the YMCA, National Capital on Monday evenings and at 10:30am on Saturdays at The Chevy Chase Ballroom. Swing is also included in the Monday evening classes at the YMCA.

No partner necessary. One may drop-in at any time during the series, as each week will include extensive review. The objective is to actually be able to dance the material by the session's end.

Adults: $10.00 per person per class; $9.00 per class for full-time college students with ID; $90.00/10-class or $160.00/20-class Dance Card for non-students. $80.00 and $150.00 for 10 and 20-class cards for military personnel. $70.00/ student 10-class dance card)

Each week the basics are reviewed and additional new material is added, as time allows. We determine what everyone attending knows and then add material that is new to everyone. Learn the basics of 3 different dance styles for your wedding in Ballroom (including Waltz or Foxtrot), Latin (Salsa or Rumba; the slowest of the Latin dances and often referred to as "The Dance of Love") and Swing (East Coast Swing or Lindy Hop). All of the Dance-&-Learn Salsa, Rueda and Ballroom parties include mini-classes from 8:00 to 9:00pm in both one of the Ballroom and Salsa or Rueda social dances, plus other short mini-classes throughout the evening in all of the Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Country/Western styles of social dances. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend and no partner or previous experience are necessary.

You've seen it on TV and in the movies and it's becoming extremely popular around the globe. Argentine Tango is the precurser of both the International and American style social Tango.

Monday evening Beginner Salsa basics on Monday evenings at The National Capital YMCA, 1711 R. I. Ave., NW, Washington DC. Located at the intersection of Rhode Island Ave., NW and 17th Street, NW above M.

Including Salsa in BOTH styles of Salsa, so you can dance with everyone you meet. Includes weekly spotting & spinning drill, Right & Left Underarm Turns, Cross-body Leads, several fun weekly "Shines" and as always, good Latin technique.

(Also Happy Hour Ballroom & Swing are available on early Saturday afternoons at the Chevy Chase Ballroom, in addition to Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm and a separate class with a second teacher in intermediate Swing at 3:00pm on Sundays (pre-enrollment must be made for the separate 3:00pm Swing class to determine that there will be enough people coming to warrant bringing in the second teacher. Otherwise beginner Swing is always part of the Saturday and afternoon Ballroom & Swing classes)

Including Waltz and Foxtrot plus several styles of basic Swing. Prepare ahead of time for those black-tie affairs, Swing dances and holiday or office parties.

4:30pm - 5:30pm Wednesday evening "Red Hot Ballroom" for middle-schoolers

Ballroom, Latin, Disco/Hustle and Swing classes have begun for 5th graders and up on Saturday mornings at 10:30am and at 4:30pm on Wednesday evenings after school and at 1:00pm on Sundays at the Chevy Chase Ballroom . Those interested in enrolling in either class may email TerryChasteen@hotmail.com. Pre-registration is required at the first class or online at www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com/kids.htm. Since a different dance will be taught each week, enrollment may take place after the sessions have begun .

PLUS!!

"Red Hot Ballroom" will begin as an after school activity at one of the close-in DC or Md middle schools on Mondays from either 3:30 or 4:30pm to 5:00pm or 6:00pm. Starting date and exact location to-be-announced. Email TerryChasteen@hotmail.com if you would like us to consider your school for this weekly after-school event.

AND CONTINUING IN FALLS CHURCH, VA...

The Promenade Dancing class will resume once again in Virginia for middle-schoolers in Fairfax County, as well as from other areas once the local kids have had a chance to enroll. It will include 8 sessions between January 13th, 2006 and April of 2006. Two classes of 25 couples will take place on designated Friday evenings at 7:00pm and 8:30pm and will include many of the Ballroom, Latin, Disco/Hustle, Swing and Country/Western dances in addition to ettiquette and other social skills. Boys will wear sport jackets or suits and the girls will wear skirts and white gloves. This has been a highly successful class for two years and enjoyed tremendously by those attending. For anyone interested in enrolling, it is suggested to do so with a dance partner, though no one will remain with the same partner throughout the series. Partners will change routinely each week, so it's only necessary to have an equal number of boys and girls.
