It's time to STOP WATCHING all the fun....and START HAVING IT!

For who: Our classes and social dance events are for everyone of all races, ages, religions affiliations, genders and orientations of affection. That includes singles, couples, same-gender couples, seniors, the disabled (wheelchair dancers) and the seeing and hearing impaired (ASL available). All are all welcome and encouraged to attend. All of our classes are gender-neutral, which means that anyone can lead or follow and in fact we encourage everyone to at least try BOTH roles, on occasion. We guarantee that it will make you a better dancer. No dance partner, previous dance experience or specific age specifications are required. We just have a firm belief that EVERYONE should dance together! So leave the labels outside the door and get everyone "Out on the Dance Floor!!

Our team will definitely be hosting all 4 events again in 2012; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day as we have in the past 4 years, including 2011 regardless of the last-minute venue conflicts, they will once again be at Dupont Circle. We realize that some in the Tango community like things a bit tighter than the vastness of Tango at Dupont Circle, but for those of us who enjoy a little more elbow room, the versatility of this space for us and for all styles of social dancing is 'off the charts!' as we also will continue a beginner practica in the adjacent space of the Milonga. Also, going by the responses from close-in as well as from across DC, Md and Northern Va, Dupont Circle by next year will have a lively following of downtown Tangueros and dancers of all types so we'll actually NEED more space. So plan it on your Holiday calendar for 2012 and in the meantime THANK YOU AGAIN to those who took the time to come out to our new downtown location. We are looking forward to a 'fantastic' new year.

Join us every Sunday, Wednesday and soon on Thursdays for Tango classes, followed by weekday practice sessions to 10:20 and on Sundays the 'Domingo en Dupont Milonga' with the very talented DJ David Liu (and always desserts and ice cream ...) to 11pm.

Though all locations cover the dances to be performed during LGBT Games 2014 Cleveland DanceSport events, DanceSport Dupont on Sundays is the designated location for Lambda DanceSport DC, the DanceSport affiliate of the Metro DC lgbt sports connection, Team DC.

Lambda DanceSPORT DC

Lambda DanceSport DC trains every Sunday during DanceSport Dupont for both spectators attending the many incredible social events and competitors for Gay Games Cleveland, 2014. The divisions include 5 levels of beginner through advanced International Ballroom, International Latin and Country/Western. There are also numerous US and Canada same-gender DanceSport events throughout the year in all 3 dance styles, not to mention many local non-lgbt dance events for the lgbt community to get 'OUT On The Dance Floor'!!.
