Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops:
(Everyone must please RSVP in advance before all classes to
TerryChasteen@yahoo.com)

Sundays 6:30-7:15pm
Mondays 9:30pm-10:15pm (for those who work late evenings)
Wednesdays 6:45-7:30pm
2nd & 4th Saturdays 5:15-6pm

In spite of what a lot of the major dance franchises and corporations may insist, you needn't spend a fortune to put on a Knock-down, drag-out, 'including-everything-but-the-kitchen-sink' First Dance performance at your wedding.

'Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops' will take place
on both evenings and weekends listed each week at 'DanceSport
Dupont Circle' (www.DanceSportDupont.com, www.TangoDupontCircle.com)
. (call 202-596-4860 for details of our 3 or 4 locations between DuPont Circle NW Washington DC, Bethesda, Md, Silver Spring and on Capitol Hill). Cost is only $15 per person per class, $25/couple or $95/10-class dance card good toward any number of social Ballroom, Latin, Tango, Salsa, Swing and more dance classes listed at www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com (www.InternationalDanceSport.com, www.DancingWithTheDCstars.com). We can guarantee 'THE' most reasonably priced and highest quality wedding training that one will find from one with decades of experience throughout all of Metropolitan Washington DC, Md and Va.

Terry has been teaching, training in and dancing competitively in pro/am with students in every style of social dance known to man since 1974 (before many of you were born, so please .... LISTEN to your ELDERS!!) and will come up with some of the most, fun, easy and memorable choreography for your first dance than you can imagine. Plus YOU will have plenty of input as to whatever will make it special for the bride and groom (but let's face it, guys...in the end it's mostly the BRIDE who makes many of the final decisions in pretty much everything...sorry ... that's just the way it is so you might as well get used to it!....lol! EXCEPT when you're OUT ON THE DANCE FLOOR! because then they actually WANT you to LEAD and be in charge!).

In addition private coaching at the most competitive rates throughout Metropolitan Washington DC, Md and Northern Va is always available most any day of the week by appointment ($75/55-min to 1 hour session). Numerous additional and highly affordable drop-in classes in Ballroom, Salsa & the all of the Latin and Swing dances, Disco/Hustle, Tango and many more are also available to get you started in perfecting the technique and basics in any of the social dances. These will save private coaching time and make your private appointments more productive by getting the basics out of the way and leaving more time during private coaching to focus on your 'First Dance' choreography and styling.

In addition we have weekly and monthly social dance events and practice opportunities, which always have teachers available for your assistance to help you both learn additional new patterns and to perfect those that you my have already learned in class or during your private coaching.

Once again, In spite of what many of the major dance corporations and franchises insist, you needn't spend a fortune to put on a Knock-down, drag-out, 'including-everything-but-the-kitchen-sink' First Dance performance at your wedding.

Or....you may wish to be more laid-back and just do something artistic but not as outrageous. We can do that, as well. It's all about what each and every couple feels comfortable doing.

Contact:
Terry Chasteen
Terry@DanceAtYourWeddingWorkshops.com, TerryChasteen@PleaseDanceWithMe.com, TerryChasteen@yahoo.com
(better yet email all 3 the first time to prevent being completely spammed out) to RSVP for the' Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops' and/or to arrange for a private coaching appointment.

Visit www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com/privatecoaching.htm for the details of private dance coaching and the best in fun and memorable 'Honor Dance' choreography for your first dance together.
Very importantly, however, PLEASE! do not put this off until the last 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding if you really want to feel comfortable with your routine and enjoy it to the max. You will have a ton of last minute demands to attend to and by then you should have your dance routine on paper and in the process of practicing it from beginning to end.
Thanks!

~ Terry Chasteen

(A SPECIAL NOTE: Please, Please, PLEASE! for your own benefit, do not put preparation for your "Honor Dance" off until the last week or two if you want this to be a memorable and fun experience for the both of you. With all of the last minute wedding preparations that will take 100% of your time and attention during the last month, the last thing you want to have to do in addition to everything else is to completely learn and memorize your "First Dance", unless of course that's really low on your list of priorities. To make this a memorable part of this very important ceremony [and once again, it can very well be THE most memorable part of your complete event as people continue to tell me every single week] and to enjoy the whole event to the max, you will want to have plenty of time to finish and practice early so you can really enjoy the experience, instead of having it become a dreaded weight around both of your necks by putting it off until the last minute. It is also highly suggested to jump into the numerous Social Black-tie & Wedding dance classes at www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com/schedule.htm available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays every week to start learning the basics in numerous social dances before focusing on your "First Dance")

Private coaching
is available to completely choreograph and teach you a fun-filled
performance for your "First Dance" from beginning to end. Not the typical
"stand and Sway" routine, but rather a fun and easy-to-learn routine that
will be remembered by you and your guests for years to come as only one with
over thirty years of wedding choreography can promise.

(and again PLEASE!!...do yourself a favor and not put this part off to the last minute...The last thing you will want
to do during that incredibly busy last month before the wedding is to learn and begin to practice your "Honor Dance"
with all the other final details that will need to be tended to before the big event. It is strongly suggested that you
begin to train in classes at least 2 to 3 months beforehand to really learn and start to enjoy
your dancing before this important performance. Visit
www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com/schedule,htm
for a complete schedule of weekday and weekend Black-tie and Wedding dance classes)

"stand and Sway" routine, but rather a fun and easy-to-learn routine that
will be remembered by you and your guests for years to come.

(and PLEASE!!...do yourself a favor and not put this part off to the last minute...The last thing you will want
to do at the last minute before the wedding is to learn and begin to practice your "Honor Dance"

begin to train in classes at least 2 to 3 months beforehand to really learn and start to enjoy
your dancing before this important performance. Visit

IN NORTHWEST WASHINGTON DC EVERY WEEK
(EXCEPT IN DECEMBER, WHICH WILL BE EARLIER IN THE MONTH)
ADDRESS: 5207 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington DC

LOCATED ON METRO'S RED LINE

The advantage that I and my associate teachers have above other dance companies being considered for your "First Dance" performance:
I can confidently say that there is not another teacher in all of Metropolitan Washington DC who has the diverse training and experience in literally every type of social dance known to man that I do personally, after almost 40 years of teaching and continually training during that time in every social dance there is. I will personally at least have the first appointment with each couple (since I cannot possibly teach everyone, myself) during which time we will analyze your music and/or musical possibilities so that I can do the choreography or at least get a head start on it for my associate teachers. If our schedules don't match, I will then be sure that the appropriate associate teacher is well-versed on the choreography, ensuring that you have a "Knock-Out" routine as opposed to the all-too-common "Stand and Sway". In this day and age of "Dancing with the Stars", I expect "ALL" of my wedding couples in no uncertain terms to "BE STARS!" during the Honor Dance at their wedding.
My associate teachers are not just people right out of dance teacher training class as in many high priced, high-pressure sales dance companies, but instead teachers with decades of dance training and teaching experience in their areas of expertise. That includes experience in all of the Ballroom dances (including all levels from beginner through advanced in both International and American style Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz), all of the Latin dances (Salsa & Rueda, Merengue, Mambo, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Flamenco), authentic Argentine Tango, Disco/Hustle, all of the Country/Western dances (including blue grass and clogging for you country dancers), Swing (East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Jive) to Hip Hop, (which I've actually danced front-and-center in the movie and on the trailer of the 2003 major motion picture comedy, "Head Of State" by Chris Rock. Watch it on the movie trailer from now to eternity at www.Moovees.com....) plus jazz, authentic Brazilian Samba and others. (I can even teach you "Michael Jackson's Thriller" to the N'th degree and in the finest detail of each character, which I've taught on numerous occasions during different public events on YouTube and live on TV on the Fox 5 TV. Visit their web sites at
, www.WUSA.com (http://www.wusa9.com/video/default.aspx?menuid=138) or mine at www.MichaelJacksonsThriller.com where I taught on WUSA channel 9 plus I taught the Fox 5 anchors, weather guys, reporters and live audience on Halloween morning, 2007).

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Regardless of the type of music you choose, where many teachers and companies may be only versed in and concentrate on one or a few of the dances and fudge it if they can't dance to your particular style of music, because of my passion for both music, choreography and social dance of all styles, and because I have continued to train in many of them on an ongoing basis ever since I was an undergrad at Ohio State back in 1969 (yes, 1969, before many of your PARENTS were even born....so listen to your elders!....) where I took my first Ballroom dance class, I can guarantee that I'll come up with fun, easy and very entertaining choreography that anyone can afford. I've been teaching those dances and many more ever since from 1974 to the present.

TO GET STARTED: my suggestion; if you're not sure of where to go for your "Honor Dance" training, bring your music with you to one of my weekly "Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops" along with a "Two-for-the-Price-of-1 Pass" from www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com (click here to download and print a "Two-for-the-Price-of-1 Pass" from this site). I will then show you some of the best, most enjoyable and fun ways of choreographing your routine without making it at all too complicated. My goal is and always has been, to make sure that every couple chooses the song to dance to that is really special to them and not just something that they think they can dance to. Because of my extensive experience and dance background, I can gurantee that I will come up with an appropriate dance to literally EVERY song ever written, regardless of how undanceable it may seem by some at first glance. Actually some of those that seem undanceable at first glance often turn out to me to be the most fun of all. But only if the teacher has enough experience to create the choreography in the appropriate style of dancing. My goal has always been that this will be one of the most memorable segments of any couple's wedding celebration that I'm involved in and I can say with confidence that when given enough time (and even often when I was NOT given enough time) I have NEVER missed fulfilling that goal.

'Dance-at-Your-Wedding Workshops' take place in upper Northwest of Washington DC from 11:15am - 12:00 noon and on Tuesdays from 6:15pm-7pm and on Wednesdays at Dupont circle (starting date and time soon to-be-announced) except during the last week in December.

(Click here to find out why I LLOOOVE working with all of my brand new beginner wedding couples)

(please register beforehand at Terry@DanceAtYourWeddingWorkshops.com so we know for sure how many people will be coming)

Just send your Name, Email address and phone # to TerryChasteen@yahoo.com to pre-register. You may also leave a message on 202-462-0870 to be sure that your information was received. Or you may pay online below to register.

Learn the basics of several traditional dances, including Ballroom (Waltz or Foxtrot), Latin (Salsa or Rumba-the slowest of the Latin dances, often referred to as "The Dance of Love") and Swing (Jitterbug or East Coast Swing) for your wedding.

Also, bring your "First Dance" music, if you know it and we'll decide what dance is most appropriate. Everyone will learn how to prepare for a magnificant "Honor Dance" performance!!

This monthly workshop is a great opportunity for wedding couples to learn the basics of creating an easy and fun-filled "Honor Dance" routine that your guests will remember for years to come. It's a "must" for every bride and groom. As well it's a great opportunity for parents, family members and friends of the bride and groom to prepare together so they can dance with all of the guests at this important event.

Or...if you're just interested in quickly learning the basics of several dances for social purposes, whether or not you're planning to attend a wedding, this is the perfect one-stop workshop for you, as well.

DANCE-AT-YOUR-WEDDING WORKSHOPS ARE
$15.00 PER PERSON OR $25.00 PER COUPLE THROUGH OUT THE WEEK.

Also, ongoing social black-tie and Wedding dance classes are available for anyone, whether or not in a wedding, to include Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Disco/Hustle, the social Latin dances and more and will be taught weekly by request of those attending.

Print and bring to your first weekend or weekday dance class taught by Terry Chasteen & Associates a 'Two-for-the-Price-of-1 Pass' when attending your first class (Does not include Dance-&-Learn Parties and Workshops. You must bring a signed copy of the coupon to be turned in with the class roster to qualify for any of the class and dance party discounts).
